בריינא לוין Breina Levine was born circa 1878 - 1879 in דיבנישוק Devenichok.
The third child to the Levine family.
ראובן Reuven Wittenson was born 1880 in Russia.
Beverly Friedman recalls that Reuben Wittenson was a couple years older than Breina. His father died before he was born and so he was named after his father. (This may be incorrect because Reuben's gravestone says his father was Wolf; perhaps the story is about Beverly's father Wolf and his grandfather.) His mother remarried somebody called Levi, and they had three children together: two daughters and one son; one of Reuben's siblings made it to Los Angeles. Reuven worked in the tailoring trades.
Probably around 1898, Breina and Reuven Wittenson were married.
Breina and Reuben moved to Leeds.
Their oldest son Wolf was born in early 1901 in Leeds. Their daughter Millie "Minnie" was born there in 1902, followed by Ann in 1904. Around 1912, the family moved to Toronto and their family name became Levy, with Reuven becoming Reuben or Rubin and בריינא Breina becoming Brina or Rebecca.
בריינא Breina died 1930 April 20 in Los Angeles.
She is buried in Mt Zion Cemetery in East Los Angeles, in grave 35-41. She is recorded as having died 1930 Apr 29 at age 52, and was registered 1930 Apr 30.
Rubin remarried, only for his wife to leave when he developed Parkinson's Disease.
He was hit by a car and developed Parkinson's Disease and his wife left him.
Reuben passed away in 1948 in Los Angeles.
He is buried at Home of Peace, a Jewish cemetery in Los Angeles. He is located in the B'Nai Jacob Addition, Row 4, Grave 12. The section is located in the far corner of the cemetery. His gravestone is visible two or three rows away from the road. The cemetery records that his date of death was 1948 Oct 08, though sometimes the supposed date of death is actually the burial date.

Reuben, WWI draft
Probably not correct. Birthplace is "United States" which is wrong.
Reuben, WWII draft
1940 Sep 27. Reuben Levy, age 60, born c 1880. 3150½ Fairmount Street, Los Angeles, CA.
Might be correct. 1934 June 10. Reuben Levy, son of Wolf Levy and Esther Covve, age 51, born c 1883 in Russia. Married to Jennie Matloff, son of Sam McCloskey and Ida Bloom, age 50, born c 1884 in Russia.
Incorrect identification; too young (might be typo with age. Reuben Lewis (might be typo). Mt Zion Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA. Plot 80-29. Died 1948 Oct 23, age 54. Hebrew name: Yerchemiel b. Tzvi Hirsh [ירחמיאל ben Tzvi Hirsh]. Not sure if this is a correct identification because the Hebrew name and perhaps the age do not corroborate. However, it does roughly match the death date on the potential death record.
1880 September 30 birthdate. 1948 October 08 death.
