TODD GOLDBERG was born in Modesto, California on May 3, 1963 and moved with the family to Hawaii in August of 1969. Todd was very active in sports and loved to surf, even building his own surfboard. He is also an accomplished scuba diver. He was active in drama and made appearances as a comedian (see photograph). He had his own rock band and was a drummer. Todd was active in his high school Student Senate and he lettered in Varsity Baseball for three years (see photographs). He was always involved with helping people in a variety of ways. As the sleuth of the family, he actually solved a number of crimes, and busted theft rings, getting involved by pursuing something that had happened to family or friends, and not stopping his investigations until he had solved the crimes. (See letter from the Honolulu Chief of Police.)
Todd left Hawaii for the University of Puget Sound in 1981, having built a reputation as a baseball pitcher, as can be seen in the candid photograph below, in which he demonstrated his unique style. He played there for two years and, after his sophomore year, returned to Hawaii and his surfboard.

Goldberg Rounds Out the Line-up
Hawaii Jewish News/October 1980
The starting line-up today will be Matsumoto, Ah Nee, Kuboyama, Serikaku, Amimoto, Funasaki, Yamaguchi, Settsu, and . . . . Goldberg?
Todd Goldberg has given that unusual ethnic "twist" to Mid-Pacific's Varsity Baseball team -- and to the ILH -- for two years as a pitcher and outfielder. He was named to the All-Star team, honorable mention by both the Advertiser and Star Bulletin, as a Junior, this past season.
He has played the game for 10 of his 17 years, and is still enthused enough to rank baseball as a career just behind being a child psychologist and just ahead of a career in criminology.
He loves children (as one of four brothers in the Neil and Carol Goldberg family he better) and has an impressive record of apprehinding young thieves of such items as surfboards, bicycles, skateboards, and even an automobile.
At Mid-Pac, Todd is a regular performer at school shows on his drum set with his group, Snow. He is a school senator. In this faculty-appointed duty he assists younger students, works on school policies, and counsels in educational and non-education areas. He is also looking forward to performing at Children's Hospital and Arcadia Senior Citizens home as a member of the Drama Club.
A highlight for Todd this past March was a visit to the Lake Tahoe area of California with his baseball team where his grandfather (from Modesto -- where Todd was born) was able to watch him perform his baseball talents on the mound.
